Is TP, TMI?

Yes. I've lost it! 

I am doing a blog post about Toilet Paper and I don't care if it's TMI (too much information)!

No, I'm not interested if you roll your toilet paper over or under. I don't judge you. I love you for you!

 The reason why I am chatting about toilet paper today is something that I've recently discovered that makes me VERY HAPPY!

Are you ready?

This is as amazing as sliced bread! Promise!

Did you know that you could buy a case of toilet paper online and have it delivered to your door for free shipping?

I know!

What?  You knew that? 

Well joy, joy, happy, happy for you!

Seriously, for those of you that didn't know, now you do!

You can go to Amazon.com and they have toilet paper and other household items that you can order online. Also, if you spend more than $25, they will ship it for FREE!

(Just be sure it qualifies for the free shipping.)

And if you have Amazon Prime, it's shipped free even if it's under $25.

(I do and I ordered a case last Monday and it was on my porch on Tuesday of the same week!)

Why does this make me happy? Well let me just tell you!

1. Toilet paper is something I hate running out of . . . for obvious reasons!
2. I like buying it in bulk and usually buy it from Sam's Club. (What FAMILY really buys a 4 roll pack? It would never come off their shopping list!)
3. I hate having to put the big bulk package in my shopping cart and then into my car. Shhh! I heard that! I know I'm weird so you don't have to say it out loud!
4. When I buy it from Amazon, I get even more than I get at Sam's. I get a whole CASE! Did you hear read that? A.WHOLE. CASE!
5. And lastly, I don't have to do anything but bring it in the house and put it away! Happy, happy, joy, joy for me!

Oh, one last thing . . . Amazon puts it on sale too! 

I only order it when it's on sale and it does costs a couple more dollars by buying it online. The couple extra dollars is SO worth me not having to go to Sam's and getting it myself!

A Lesson from a Stranger!

I have been so busy over the last several days that I haven't had time to do my Thanksgiving Day meal shopping. This is a stress point for me.

After I put Allison on the bus this morning, I headed out to start my list of about 38 things that I need to do today.

I had gotten most of it done at the first store I went to but needed a few more items. I headed over to Walmart and picked up the rest. I hate going to Walmart but that's a whole other post! Anyway, since the lines were already ridiculously long at 9:42 in the morning, I decided to do the self-checkout and hurry on my way.

I ran one more errand after that and then went home and started to unload my groceries. I noticed that I had forgotten my last two bags at Walmart. SERIOUSLY!!!!

Frustrated and angry at myself for being so stupid, I hurried back to Walmart to pick up my bags.

I scolded myself the whole way! "Cindi, you should pay attention to what you are doing and not think about the next items on your to do list." "Cindi, now you are behind schedule because you have to backtrack." Etcetera,etcetera, etcetera.

After I picked them up I went to the Redbox at the front of the store to grab Allison a movie for tonight. On my way to the Redbox, an older gentleman was sitting on the bench just inside the doors and was telling everyone coming and going "Good Morning, Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless." 

As I was standing there selecting a movie, I realized that "someone" far greater than myself had made me forget those last two bags requiring me to return to Walmart.

You see, that gentleman was not there when I was there earlier. I don't know if he was waiting on his wife or had nothing better to do than spread some good cheer. Whatever the reason, I am so glad I had to go back for those bags.


In those few minutes that I listened to him while I stood there trying to select a movie, I recognized that it's not about stressing to get my list done today. It's about being thankful for this wonderful life we've been given and sharing the happiness with others.

Thank you, God, for slowing me down and making me see what is important in this life you've given us. You definitely work in mysterious ways!

Slacking?

It's been a few days since I have last posted. Not that anyone would have noticed since I feel like I'm speaking typing to a big, black hole out in blogland.

Anyway, if you are sitting out in that big, black hole wondering if I was slacking on my blog posts or not, the answer would be . . . NOPE! I actually have been too busy to blog! I have been getting things done and it feels so good!

In the last 5 days I have:

1. Purchased 7 Christmas gifts. Woo hoo, I am almost done!
2. Went shopping and had lunch with lifelong friend at Olive Garden. Yum! Yum!
3. Cleaned out my office at my old job. Now I can officially move on to where I'm supposed to be!
4. Bought Curtis 2 new shirts and 3 new sweaters for work . . . for $20! Gotta love Goodwill!
5. Had a Mommy & Allison lunch on Veteran's Day. I love our hanging out with her!
6. Taken Allison to Baldingers.
7. Attended Parent Visitation at Allison's school. Loved it!
8. Purchased books at the Book Fair at Allison's school. Probably cheaper on Amazon but it is for the kids!
9. Fixed Allison's Kindle Fire and she was doubtful that I could do it! Ha ha!
10. Played with an adorable orange kitten . . . and no, it's not coming home with us!
11. Met a man from craigslist . . . to sell him my old coffee table.
12. Done 8 loads of laundry and Mt. Washmore is still down in the basement!
13. Been taken out to dinner by a handsome man and his adorable daughter. ;)
14. Made my Thanksgiving grocery list out . . . even though I can shop until the Tuesday before.
15. Filled out Allison permission slip for her Academic Games competition on Monday. I can't wait to finally go to one!
16. Spent too much money at Staples! What is new?
17. Stuffed my Christmas cards into their envelopes. Now to address and stamp them!
18. Planned the next few blog posts but now I need to write them.
19. Cleaned out my purse and it's so much lighter without all the change I throw in the bottom!
20. Talked to a very lovely lady at career service place that was extremely helpful by suggesting places to look for employment. I'm hoping to meet her in person next week.

So. As you can see I'm the ONLY one that hasn't been slacking around here during the day!

Simba likes to sleep on the top of the cat tree during the day.

 Princess likes to sleep on the top of the living room chair or on my bed.

And Porsche a.k.a. "The Baby" likes to sleep on top of the couch

 Geez, with all this slacking going on, it's amazing I'm not crashed out during the day too!

Knock, Knock! Take Me Home!

Last week as I was taking Allison to school, I saw this beauty leaning on a dumpster at an apartment complex nearby. She was gorgeous! I fell in love instantly! . . . or maybe it was lust!

Anyway. As I was driving by her, I heard this ever so faint little voice saying, "Take me home. You know you want to. Curtis won't mind."  I shook my head and continued to drive.

I dropped Allison off at school and went to pick up some groceries. I'm in the freezer section of the grocery store minding my own business and I hear: "You want me. Take me home. I can make you happy. You'll regret it if you don't." I slowly turned my head to look around for the softly spoken woman's voice. Hmm, strangely enough there was no one there. And the last time I checked neither Ben or Jerry had a softly spoken woman's voice! Could it have been that beauty I saw earlier in the morning? Nah, I wasn't any where near her!

So. I paid for my groceries, loaded them in the car and headed home. Funny thing though, the voice got stronger and louder and SASSIER! It was not a sweet voice any longer. It now said, "TAKE! ME! HOME!"

So I did.

And here she is . . . . . . isn't she just lovely????     

Yay, Curtis thought so too. Well, maybe not but he humored me!

She's needs a little work to make her really pretty. However, I'm afraid she's going to have to wait until spring. We do not have a garage and I don't want her outside in the elements while I give her a makeover.

She's going to hang out with us in the family room when I am done making her pretty. I can't wait! I'll be sure to share it with you when she's all dolled up!  But for now, here are some door makeovers for you to see. I found them all on Pinterest. Lunch with the Girls!

I have no time for a post this morning! I am meeting my BFF, Susan and her daughter, Stephanie, for a girls' lunch. Happy Day! I have a couple of stops before then so I have to jump in the shower in a few minutes and get moving! Lucky Curtis, he gets to sleep in since Allison is sleeping over at Grandma & Pa Pa's!
