Surprise!
I LOVE IT!
What I don't love is when the snow melts like it has in the last week and everything was brown.

A Handy Dandy Little Gadget!
You can put it in the tuna can and give it a push and all that tuna juice comes to the top.
You can also turn it the other way and drain a can of beans or corn or whatever you wish!
Okay. Now that you know I love this can strainer thing, can I ask you...
WHERE DID I PUT MINE??!!??
Seriously friends, I had one several years ago and it disappeared.
So. I bought another one.
And now...
THAT ONE HAS DISAPPEARED!
I think I accidentally throw them in the garbage can when I take them off the can because I think subconsciously in my mind, they are the lid...so I pitch them in the trash.
Oh well.
If you see it, let me know but I won't be holding my breath.
Nope. I'll be at Target buying another one. Let's just hope it's my last!

Lazy Sunday!
My baby is growing too fast and I can do my chores tomorrow while she's in school.
Today I've given myself permission to take the day off and make some memories!
I hope you are enjoying your day with the people in your life that mean the most to you too!

A BFF Play Day!
After we picked out the fleece, we headed over to Panera for a little lunch. After lunch, Susan and I stayed back for a little, sipped on our Pepsi refills (yeah...another place that has Pepsi) and chatted about a few things before we went to Staples so she could get her deals that I mentioned in the previous post. Sandy and Nancy left after lunch to hit some stores they wanted to hit and then we met up with them later.
Even though Susan and I live an hour away from each other, we have been really making a conscious effort to get together as often as we can. Sometimes it's just for a few hours but we make it happen. I think we both need it for our peace of mind. We love our men but honestly, there's no one like a BFF...especially one you've known for over 35 years!
Love you Susan!

STAPLES Savings!
I picked up everything you see in the picture plus one HP black ink cartridge and one tri-color ink cartridge for my printer which were buy one get one at half price. Even though they had tons on sale, I stuck to my list and only bought what I needed or knew I would use.
Are you ready for what I saved?? Well then, scroll down to see!
Woo hoo! I'm doing the happy dance!
Here's how I did it.
If you have a Staples Rewards card, you can buy these items and receive 100% in the form of a coupon check in February. Yes, it's only good for use at Staples but I always find myself needing something from there. You only are permitted to buy 1 each of the items below. The items in red are what I bought.
M by Staples perforated writing pads 6/pack $7.99
Bankers Box letter/legal size boxes 6/pack $9.99
Staples heavyweight file folders, manila, 50/box $8.00
Staples #10 Envelopes, pull & seal 100/pack $7.99
Zebra Sarasa retractable gel pens, medium, 5/pack $3.99
Staples small binder clips, 40/box $3.39
The items below are their $1.00 deals with in-ad coupon. There are a limit of 2 per coupon. Again, what I bought is in red.
Pentel RSVP ballpoint pens, assorted 5/pack, reg $3.49
Staples 4-3/4x6-1/2 envelopes, 50/pack, reg $6.99
Pentel e-sharp mechanical pencils, assorted 3/pack, reg $5.99
Quartet magnetic dry-erase board, 8-1/2x11, reg $6.99
Staples black full-strip stapler value pack, reg $6.99
BIC Great Erase dry-erase markers, fine tip, assorted, 4/pack, reg $3.99
Staples Accel 1-subject notebook, college or wide ruled, 100 sheets, reg $4.49
Staples glue sticks, clear or colored 4/pack, reg $1.99
They also have advertised some items that you can purchase and then receive a rebate on them. This is where I picked up the photo paper and the brights copy paper for $2.00 each. Although the ad says the brights copy paper should be $3.00, I'm getting back all but two dollars on my rebate check. You can do the rebate online at their "Easy Rebates" center and it seriously took just a few minutes. They will send me a check for those two rebates that I can deposit in my bank account.
Have Fun!

Happy New Year!!!!
Not to worry though. I'll make it through. I always do. I just keep on keeping on!
I've been thinking a lot about my blog...or my neglecting it. It's not that I don't have things to say...because you all know I'm never short on words. It's just that I get a little busy and it's not on the top of my priority list. This blog has taken on a life of it's own and found some followers. I'm glad that I've touched some of you out there. It never was my intention but I am so glad I did. I've "met" some wonderful people through it.
I often wonder if I should change my blog. Should I focus on one subject...like crafting, cooking, decorating or whatever, like some other bloggers do and not so much on a little bit of this or a little bit of that. I wonder if I should try to be one of those bloggers that work towards having a ton of followers? Even though I've turned some down, I wonder if I should take on advertisers so I can make a little bit of money? I wonder if I should give the people what they want?
But then, I ask myself this one question..."Why do you blog?" I always go back to why I started blogging in the first place. I started this blog for me, my family and mostly Allison. I intended it to be a place for me to document our lives...a sort of journal with pictures. A place where I can just be myself with my thoughts, feelings and ideas. A place where long after I'm gone, Allison can look back and really know me, see how much I adored her and remember all the fun we had while she was growing up.
After answering this question, I find myself staying true to the title I picked for my blog those several years ago..."This is My Life." If you are a follower, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I get all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that you care about what I'm doing in My Life. If this is the first day you've stumbled upon my little blog out in blogland, Welcome. I hope you stay for a while because you'll see a little bit of this and a little bit of that because...This is my Life and I truly am a little bit of this and a little bit of that!
Oh! You all know that I like pictures with my blog entries so since this entry started off with welcoming in 2010, here is my pic. When I think about my plans, dreams and goals for 2010, I've decided that I want New Beginnings for this year! Yes! I'm starting fresh! Come join me!
